Difference between Baja 272 's?

Can someone tell me or post what years they made the 272 and the difference between the years, changes etc.?

Or post a link etc.?

Thanks!

'94-'01... that much I can tell you. It was replaced with the 275 (had an '05... put over 900 hrs on it in a little under 4 years and it was a great boat).

I was thinking '93 - 02' but either way that gives you an idea. Not many changes over the years except for graphics, dash/gauge colors, etc. Was replaced with the 275.

mine is a 1993 272

obnoxus 07-05-2012 08:57 PM

97 was an interior, and dash change

So '93 - '02 it is.

I know the 275's were made from 03 to 07.. In 08 they changed to 278's

97 or newer for the interior....

2000 or newer for the barrier coat update,,,,,some older ones would blister left in the water,',,, or under the trailer bunks.

I bought a 97 brand new,,,,,stored inside,,,,never left in the water and I had 4 strips of blisters where it sat on the trailer.

Fortunatly Baja fixed it under warranty because I was the original owner

was there a different x dimension over the years?

wwolfe 08-21-2012 02:26 PM

272's were made from 93-01...Baja made approx 993 total over the years and one of the top selling models to the 25 Outlaw. 272 was replaced by the 275 Model in 02 and ran through 07 producing 511 models.

I have a 01' 272 with 496HO and love the boat. Just turned 110hrs but ready to upgrade now to a 302 or 322.

Gonna sell her?

wwolfe 08-22-2012 07:41 AM

puzzelboy -

Yes gonna sell her and move up to a 302 or 322 Performance Series. Found 2 302's but need to move my boat first. If I do not sell now i will list in spring and worst case boat with my 272 another season next year.

If interested in my 01 272 496/425HP let me know. PM me or email me at [email protected].

As mentioned, it has right around 120 original hours...over 60% 2000rpm and under. New low pressure fuel pump, bilge pump, batteries, crank trigger sensor and engine relays.

Bravo 1 w/Simrek drive shower, transom shower, silent choice, 2 props, purple gaffrig bezel gauges, purple momo spargi wheel, trim tabs, clarion stereo, snap in caret, porta potti, riptide graphics package, 2 covers, Eagle Alum trailer with new tires, brakes, bearings, strap, etc.

Great boat but need more room for overnights with the family.

mittens 09-04-2012 02:24 PM

Ebay Ed 09-04-2012 02:35 PM

i bet the 272 goes closer to 7500 on the trailer with all of the fluids and a little bit of junk

mittens 09-04-2012 02:48 PM

7200 is what a 252 is on a trailer...

Pulled mine up on a scale at a truck stop. 6320lbs with 1/2 tank fuel and some gear, and Eagle double axle trailer.

I'd say that's about right, the 7500 figure seems a bit excessive.

4400 dry, and I figure my aluminum trailer is around 1500..... Plus fluids, gear, etc. I approximate 7000 lbs loaded up.
