IAC problems
New to forum & I understand this has been talked about ALOT, but here it goes anyway! 496+mercruiser = melted IAC valve!!
Just the nature of the beast? what im hearing anyway, have a 02 29OL w/ 6.2's that run's flawless!! but you all know whats next, moved up to 40OL w/ trip 496's & 30 minutes in 2 yes 2 IAC's down! Go Ahead now that's my luck!! So now extra's in boat, any comments on this? |

Yes, very common...you can buy those iac's at oreilly auto for much less then what merc wants for them. They can even cross the merc part# over for you?... Btw.... Your idling too damn much, those trips are meant to be ran like mf's! lol
