2004 baja boss 302 with 6.2's....
anyone know the real story, how they perform with 6.2's fuel useage, speed, porpoise etc. I found a low hour 04 great graphics and colors, just has the 6.2's and would like to know if anyone on here has one or a friend with one that can shed some light. Thanks!

Better overall balance than BB, might use more fuel at 5000 rpm than 7.4's at 4600 rpm? More room to work on them, less torque, sound like SB, low 60's

I have 6.2s on my 32 Sunny and really like them. I cruise at 3500 RPM and depending on crew (usually 10) will run 45, 55 with a light load. Max speed is 72 GPS. Not the same hull, but to give you an idea. Fuel burn isn't bad, I probably do 30-45 mins a week of cruising and tanks last about six weeks.

You Really can't compare to the sunny. It has the step an has smaller beam. Along with prolly 1000 or. More pounds lighter

My Formula 292 has 6.2's and they run great. I cruse at 3800 RPM's and 50 MPH.

My 29 OL has 6.2's and she gets right on top & goes 68 easy @ 4800 w/ half a tank & 2 man crew. XT is right about sounds like SB, but got 300 hrs on them and would put them up against anything as far as dependability!!

6.2's are a very good and reliable motor. We have them in a 36' Envision no it isn't fast at 53-54 MPH max w/a light load, but they have almost 300 hours and have been great. If speed isn't a big factor, then they would likely be great.
