I have a 5 blade 25.5 x 15.5 - 22degree that will definitely carry the bow.

whats the diffrence between an 3 blade and a 4 blade on this boat? more top end with an 3 blade?

Non SC, 700 hp...... That's some motor!
my old 252 liked the 4 blade for cruse speed. it was 3-4 mph faster with a 22p 4 then it was with a 23 3blad.

Somebodys blowing sunshine up your arse, this combination will be lucky to make 620 hp IF that. I don't know why someone would use a single pattern cam with only 224 degrees at .050 and then .683 lift. Buy a 26 LABBED, you will not be turning much more prop than that. It would take 30 degrees more duration and motor would have to be turned alot closer to 5800-6000 to think about making 700 hp , Smitty
Smitty you're damn right The Merlin 540 is a 630 hp motor if memory serves correct and I'd say this one is identical to one. A Friend of mine put one in a 242 Baja and it had a 26P Mirage in it and thats all it needed.. plus I would've blueprint the bottom and take the Hook out of it. |

ok thanks for the help i think i will try this propeller from cutting edge and see 26 pitch 4 blade.
this will work good ?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUTTING-EDGE...e23fd0&vxp=mtr |
they have that prop in 2 sizes 15 1/2" OR 15 1/4” what will be the best choice?
I would be worried about those stainless exhaust values! INCONEL is the only way to go.
whats the problem with the stainless exhaust valves?
they like to break off and make a real mess.
The stainless valves are fine just dont run it hard for long periods. I was told the same thing and I put incolnel in mine(supercharged). since then i have met a few people running stainless and they run wide open for ten minutes or so. Make sure your jetting is a little on the fat side and you should be fine. My opinion.
