Advice to put 250 sport in 80's

Can anyone tell me what it would take to put my Sport 250ES in the 80's ? I currently am running a 468ci roller motor with approx. 500hp. Runs 70mph on gps. What do you guys think?

What drive do you have? Is the x still stock? Either way bet you are looking at 800+ to get that boat to that speed.

Does have the stock X. It has a later model Bravo with the low water pickup. When I purchased boat, it would run 62 gps. And when I built current engine, that pushed it up to 70 turning a 24 Bravo 1 5600rpm.

I agree here, I had a 240 with an imco -2" lower, 26 bravo1 prop, blueprinted hull
510" big block making about 625 it did 78 with half tank of fuel and 3 people on board.

The 250 is a much bigger boat than the 240. Atleast it looks like a much bigger boat to me in person.

A 250 is a much larger and heavier boat than the 240. Anyone know the weight difference?
