I've been thinking about tossing the fuel injunction ang going with a carb set up... Anyone have any pros or cons to share ? I still need to get my hydraulic steering, and maybe dump the factory tabs for something better!

Wow impressive, I am also thinking hull design and probably weight played a factor. What's the weight difference between both hulls?
Those two boats pictured are beautiful. Good job. |

That's a huge differance for sure!! I'm just not a big fan of the look of the velocity, just my opinion! obviously the hull is amazing to gain that much speed!!

I have to agree. The Velocity with the big windshield doesn't look as sharp as the Outlaw, but I wanted to go fast. When your in the drivers seat everything looks great. :lolhit: I do like the protection of the windshield though.

2013 Checkmate 26 Convincer which has a real true 26 foot runing surface, a foot longer than the BAJA Outlaw and with a stock powered Mercruiser 8.2L H.O. 430 HP are showing speeds of 73.1 M.P.H on Radar and G.P.S.There is no Outlaw that is brand new that can turn those numbers with that engine option..
We have a new sold 26 Checkmate Convicer with a 565 h.p on line soon to finished. We anticipate speeds in the 80"s. |

When I was looking for a new boat, I tossed and turned many nights. Loved the looks of many other brands, but bought the Velocity for features and function. Like I said , it's all good when your inside looking out. :drink:

Yes it does. It has saved me many times . Been in rough water where you are taking it over the bow and it slams the windshield and over the top. .lol Also great in cool or buggy weather. Packed it with bugs many times running around sunset.
|
Gotcha, my wife would probably love it, takes 5hours to do her hair, and 5seconds to destroy it on the boat! Lol.... Been looking at a few 38zx's... Talking about a huge boat! And the cabin is awesome.... Might be pulling the trigger soon!!
|
A 38 is a huge boat! A different world from these little boats . Only thing is you lose the feel of driving a boat. When driving these small boats with decent power they keep your attention. A larger boat is very comfortable but probably not as exciting ......unless it has big power. But your wife and mine would definitely like it better.
|
Ok, Back to 25 Outlaws with big power. V.I. Outlaw and Rwbrew3 your boats are beautiful. Love the attention to detail and of course the horsepower.
