Engine Sync?

First off, I'm not new to boating, but this is my first time owning a twin engine boat. We own a 2000 33 Ol with slightly modified 454Mags. With tons of advice from other friends with twin engine boats, I was pretty comfortable on our first outing last weekend. The only gripe/problem I had was trying to keep both engines synced together. I had to give my starboard engine about 3/4 more throttle to keep the rpm's the same. I'm guessing my rpm gages are good, because as soon as I would get them the same, I could hear that beautiful hum that the engines make when the are singing together. (I know, CORNY!!!!!) Short of dropping a G on an engine synchronizer or just dealing with having to adjust the throttle manually, is there someway of adjusting the starboard throttle cable to compensate for this. I would think being that it's a direct cable you'd be able to adjust the throw somehow. Any advice? Thanks Phatboy

there are adjustments at the throttle lever and back on the throttle body

Im hoping you mean 3/4 of an inch,,,,,not 3/4 throw

From my dock, i can hear a good mile away when someone is coming up the lake out of sync. You wouldn't think it would be that obvious but the oscillation is easy to pick up. You may have stretch in one cable more than the other.
