Angled vsStraight cut Exhaust tips
obviously a matter of taste,....I ordered a set of angle cut stainless tips for my H2X, but they shipped me a set of straight ones instead, so my dilema is do I return them and wait another week for the angle? or just suck it up and install the straight cuts?
I'm looking for pics of boats with the straighjt cut tips so i can picture the difference, but havent been able to find many. Anyone have either ones that are willing to share your pics, or opinions? thanks, Ed |
Straight cuts are for putting flappers on,,,, IMO

Angled looks frilly, like it's a girlie boat.
|
Pics of straight tips, not a Baja however:

Ask for a reasonable refund/credit for their mistake. Hopefully they will bite, and you will have a few extra bucks for the tank :) If it was me, I would not really care if straight or angled. Eventually the internal flappers will fall out anyway so I would go with the straights so you can add external flappers which work better.

I like straight cut. They look better in my opinion and prefer the outer flappers.
|
I like having the external flappers. No noise in pipe when running and work properly when waves knock into the back at the beach.
|
Thanks guys, straight cut it is!
|
I personally would send them back, and have what i chose in the first place...
