Any 335 or 405's for sale?

Hello,

I am looking to get into more of a sport cruiser for several reasons, like the extra room in the cockpit and walk through transom, and the ability to cruise at 50 mph, to name a few.

Are there any 335 or 405 owners thinking of selling?

I am also looking at other brands to keep my search broader but like the 405 and 335 lines as well.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

here you go...you sure you want a peanut boat?

Saw that one, no trailer and a little too expensive.
I'm keeping my options open Tom!

Hi guys,
I need some help to find my next boat. Would prefer the 405 over the 335.
I think I just missed a couple of nice ones that were priced right!

bmtbandit 08-13-2013 06:25 AM

What price did they go for/ are you trying to get one for.

verbi69 08-13-2013 08:03 AM

Well a nice 2007 that had 110 hours, wide black or blue stripe that looked mint was listed at 139 is no longer available. Do not know what final selling price was though. I have seen a couple of nice ones listed at 119 that are no longer available as well.
I've seen 2007-08 335 's with very low hours listed at 100-110.
As far as price I'd like to be at 100-110.

Good luck in your search. I love my 405!

Verbi69, did you give up on the Fountain 38 EC?
Love the outside looks of the 405 & the cockpit area but the cabin has room for improvement.
Not sure the 38EC & the 405 are in the same class.

I'm having a hard time finding something that is clean, has nice graphics/paint, not bottom painted, and priced where I need to be. My first choice is still a Fountain but the Baja has a lot to offer! For 120k I can get into a 2006-07, can't do that with a Foutain....

When I first saw a 405, I really liked it. I'd consider something like that. But it strikes me as being low on cabin amenities for a 40 footer.... Do they have showers and a reasonably sized lav/head?

It's funny, I find myself looking at quite a few EC type boats lately.

verbi69 08-16-2013 12:05 PM

The more I look at the 405's, the more I like them as we'll.i
I have never been on one but I will be making plans to change that soon.

verbi69 08-20-2013 03:03 PM

Ttt, and still looking....

verbi69 08-21-2013 09:59 AM

From doing research it seems there aren't a whole lot of them out there, either model, or am I wrong?
I would like to hear from owners of both models what it is that they like specific to their boat if possible.
Thanks,
Mike

I spent a year looking for our 405 , found 4 online and looked at all of them. 3 where salt water boats (not very good condition) and the 4th one sold before I could get there. Sold for 139 in Mo. Was in Tn and saw one on a lift with 124 hours and begged to buy it. You are correct there are not many 405's around only 65 where ever made and about 20 are overseas so that leaves about 45 or so here in north america. I have researched them till my eyes bled, so if you have any questions please ask and I'll tell you everything I know. We brought ours home and it is the big hit in the res, everyone loves it including us.

Here to help

How is the ride in the new boat?
Do you overnight in it as well?

Mseuro 02-16-2014 01:05 AM

We have the boat on a lake so the waves are not that big, we will get a bit of white rollers every now and then and the 405 performed beautiful. It handles very well in turnes and is smooth as silk. The person that did the survey said it was one of the best feeling performance yatchs he had driven.
We have stayed overnight on the boat many times and have no complaints, wish it was a bit wider but I'm more than happy with it. The interior upgrades we did are the tv (32inch), stereo, microwave (700 watt vs 500), and changed to led lighting inside and out. We even put a 42 in led light bar on the radar arch for the front and a 12inch one for the rear, I'm scared to use it because of how bright it is and I know someone is not going to be happy but it's wicked.
Need anything else let me know.

How are the lav amenities? I'm 6'3", just curious. Does it have a shower?

Do you trailer the boat?

Im 6'5" and in the galley area and backward I have no issue. It has a shared head and shower. I have mine on a trailer, but have yet to tow very far. Its a big load with truck and trailer I will say that.

Mseuro 02-17-2014 10:49 AM

How are you enjoying yours BMT? We juat got ours at end of season last year but we really are enjoying it so far. I am almost finished with all the upgrades and little touches im making. FYI Great Lakes Skipper has factory 405 shipping covers for 149. 00 I bought 3 and cut one to make a nose cover during summer.

bmtbandit 02-17-2014 10:50 AM

We love ours. We have had it since 2008. Its been a lot of fun and hard to beat overall.

Mseuro 02-17-2014 10:53 AM

If anyone hears of a nice trailer for a good price let me know, I say good price because my wife is tired of me spending money on the boat (Nothing wrong I just can't stop).

Mseuro 02-17-2014 11:08 AM

Good to meet you, glad there's others out there help with any problems I might run into. This is the first big boat we have had (24ft was last one) and there's so much more that needs attention. Having problems keeping batteries alive even on shore power, just put new batteries and charger in so I'm really confused now. Going out in about an hour to look at again.

TCBoss302 02-27-2014 02:56 PM

Here's one that is listed in the Fountain section. Maybe old news, but since it wasn't under the right
manufacturer, thought I would post it.
