The 29 OL is better. I have a nice 2000 with twin 7.4 mags for sale. Send me a private message if interested.

I have not had an opportunity to drive/ride in a Boss 302. I have built a OL-29 race boat, and the hull, performance, and experience working with OL was amazing.
You would have a bullet proof package with a Merc 525 and Bravo Drive. Speeds will approach triple digits Good Luck |

Looks like the 302 that was at seelye wright you store in mi last fall.
It is, and it is sitting outside at their car lot in Paw Paw off I-94 now. Friend of mine looked at it and said my boat is in much better shape. That wrap looks like ass sitting on the trailer. |
Hey nightlife do you know anything more about the 302 in paw paw. I was actually going to look at it in the next few days. I can deal with the wrap and will probably replace it, but more interested in the motor and the mechanics. I'm new to the sight and glad I decided to join. Any more insight is greatly appreciated.

That boat in Paw Paw was listed last fall at the Seelye Wright Toy Shop. When i was on a hunt for a boat i was going to visit and look at the Donzi 33ZX they had and also take a look at this boat. I called a few times and never got a good vibe so passed on going there. A guy up my way (Syracuse) ended buying the 33ZX and this boat never sold. I tried going to the Seelye Wright Toy website earlier this year and seemed to have changed and boats were no longer listed. Not sure what the deal is but definitely same boat
The wrap was definitely too much for my tast...but others may love it. |
Thanks for the info guys ,like you guys said I'm thinking twins are the way to go in a boat this size to get a respectable and reliable speed. Jury's still out on whether to go with an OL or a 302....An outer limits makes more sense I was wondering what kind of magic he used to make an outlaw with a single hit triple digits.lol

If I hit the lottery I'm keeping my 29 single and dropping a 1350 in it. That way I'll have 3 of those engines.... the other two being in said Outer Limits !!

It really just depends on what you are into. Would you rather have a windsheild and a bit more room, or the look of the outlaw. The boats are pretty equal otherwise. The 302 would need the extended swim platform as the stock one is scary. A 302 with the windscreen and extended swim plat would be the one I would be after personally, but I would take a 29OL if that was what I could get. Can't go wrong either way. Unless your into the older 280's.... :) |

I have only stopped by and looked at it sitting on the trailer. Won't go into that dealership while they are open, bunch of sleeze ball used car salesmen I can't deal with there. (long story wont have anything to do with that dealership) Like I said a friend of mine stopped and looked at it. Said it needed some work as far as the cockpit goes.
