can someone explain liner construction

How is the liner construction different from the stringer construction? Rudamentary question I realize, but I've never seen the liner design. Looking at a 30 OL in a couple weeks. Would separation be readily apparent to a surveyors eye? I don't know whether I love or hate boat shopping.......

Both hulls start out the same.

A stringer system is glassed into the bottom of the stringer boat for engine mounting and structural reinforcement and a base for the cockpit floor to mount to.

The liner boat hull is just the hull, the cockpit and cabin and engine compartment are a single moled piece that is inserted and bonded to the inside of the hull.

Most of the cracking I"ve heard about is in the cabin area.

So do the engines mount via backing plates on the liner setup.

As a 30 Outlaw owner, any cracks are largely superficial. Like the cracking of an eggshell on a hard boiled egg. The liner boats have flex points (like all boats do), you then just see some spider cracks in the top layer of gel. The 30 is a great boat......

One of the most thrilling boat rides I ever went on was on a 30 at the 8 mile marker of LOTO. It was the twice as naughty boat. the acceleration was unreal with the mag HO's. It was rough out so being out in a boat of smaller size was quite the thrill with that much HP at hand. the one I am looking at is an 05.... I think.

Engines attach to the engine compartment liner.....not shure if there is anything inside, plate wise, that they attach to.
