Windshield for boss 302

I just purchased a '97 boss 302 . It has the low white plexiglas windshield. I am not a fair weather boater :) and would much prefer a full windshield.
I am waiting to hear back from the Baja people in N.C. , but I thought I would give the Forum a try.
Thanks

I have a brand new aluminum and safety glass windshield that I had made for my 35 Cigarette Awesome. It is about 87" wide and the side wings are 60" long. The width is adjustable as the center and side joints rotate. 9-10" high at the center point. Email me at [email protected] for pictures and any questions. $350 plus shipping. Thanks. Bob N.

Pontoon, The good people in NC have never seen a Baja 302 and they will probably give you my cell number to contact. Your best bet is to find someone with a Baja 38 Special, 302, or 272 that wants to trade you a windshield for your windscreen.

Well, I have one! I've got the entire windshield minus the middle section that opens up. It came off a 2003 302 which I would assume would be the same fit as a 97.

Wow,some quick replies. Thanks
ren3 I'm not so sure about your custom windshield as I'm looking for a clean and easy install.
XT I seen your recent post regarding a H2 windscreen , you seem to be a guy in the know ....thanks.
firehill. What happened to the middle section ! I'm up north and we have polar vortex's to blame for shed and barn collapses , lots of them this year.
LF or D if I find one you got it. It might be fun to meet up on that big lake near you and me.
thanks again y'all

When I bought my Baja in 2010, it was missing the middle section. A friend up north had the only windshield in the country for a 302 as he had changed his to a windscreen. So I ended up buying the whole thing and just using the middle section. Now I probably have the only spare windshield in the country from a 302, minus the middle section.

Are the 252 windshields the same size as one for 302? If so I would be interested in trading full windshield for windscreen.

My buddy run a 302 ans is always complaining of the windshield frame being in the line of vision due to his height. I'll ask him if he would be interested in a trade. Might be hesitant though because of his camper pkg but who knows.

No as XT said 302 is specific the way it mounts.I'd guess a 38 would be a little wide for a 302 due to the beam being wider. Baja parts are getting very hard to find for older models.

I'm 5'10" and windshield frame always seemed to be in my way when I had a 302. I typically got over top of the windshield to get a clean line of sight. I remember one day I found myself at the wrong end of Lake Cumberland in pouring rain. I ran the lake standing in the cuddy and reached back for the wheel looking through the windshield. Did stay dry though.

The answer is no. The 252's shared the same 800 series windshield with the 232's. The 38 Special, 302, and 272's shared the 600 series windshield that was larger glass and radius design. Here is where it gets tricky, even though the 38/302/272 used the exact same (windshield) each model had it's own special design (windscreen) Why? A windshield mounts to the horizontal surface with the screws running down vertical. A windscreen mounts to the vertical surface, and that was just enough different on each model that it required tooling for each model. I would think it would be possible to interchange windscreens on these three models but the fit will be less than perfect.

Thanks verbi.
At least your in my neck of the woods.

If ya decide you need the 302 windshield I have, you can shoot me an email at [email protected] and i will give you a price. It will be a steal like the smokin deal I just sold my 302 for. The problem is getting it to ya as shipping is pricey. Although I never checked since I found what I needed, I assume you can have a middle section made for it.

Do you still have the windshield? I see this post is old but I need one as mine was broken by Hurricane Ian.
