Can I change red dash lights to blue???
I put some blue led lights in my 36 outlaw and want to change my red dash lights to blue? anyone done this? not by the boat right now to see what they are for bulbs. I think the ones in it now have just red rubber covers over the bulbs.

Red light doesn't foul up your night vision. They are red for that reason.

I changed mine to blue so they matched the LED's I put in the cockpit. I kind of wish I would have left them red as stated above for night vision. May change them back one of these days. They look cool sitting at the dock though....

I turn off my lights when I need to see in the dark. Seperate switch for dash of course.
To answer OP's question - autometer / Livorsi and other guage companies sell bulb condoms. LOL. Assorted colors. http://www.cpperformance.com/p-26616...lb-covers.aspx http://www.cpperformance.com/images/...e/865-3214.jpg |
Does anyone know what the bulb number is to just replace them with blue leds? I think my night vision will be ok with blue, thanks for the concern though.

The bulbs are 921. I went with soft glow LED's from Livorsi in 6000K color. Waaay better than the red. So easy on the eyes at night.

Thanks a lot Smitty. I will try those.
