30 outlaw cover needed
 

where would a guy get a full boat cover for a 04 outlaw 30 ft is it better to get a factory one or local guy to make one .are there any better ones to get as far as material and tie down location if I want to trailer with ....any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated from guys that have been there and done it etc...

Talk to Dave at XT-Innovations. He had one locally that a friend owned; used it for measurements, and built a shipped a perfect cover for my buddy that fits like a glove.

Dave is well known on this site, posts often; and is part of the old school crew that was building Baja boats when they were still in Ohio.

X2 on having Dave make you one. Best in the business. Made me a cockpit cover made from original pattern.

Do you really need it trailerable though? Will probably be a heavy cover to wrestle with if it's strong enough to handle trailering stress. I really only ever tow with my cockpit cover on.

Correct, we have an account with the supplier to Baja Marine in the past that made them the Shipping and Trailering covers Baja offered. They only fit the 2008 and older model Outlaws with the lower style windscreen and not the 09' and newer style windscreen that Baja NC offers. I just sold my last (purple) 30 Outlaw trailering cover last week. As far as the best material it depends on what your using it for. There is no warranty for a Sunbrella cockpit, or mooring cover to be trailered on the highway. A SurLast trailering cover with it's pattened "Vac-u-Hold" vent system has a warranty up to 65 mph though. As a full cover SureLast is thinner and much smaller to store than a full mooring cover in Sunbrella that you can barely carry for a 30' boat. Sunbrella is not waterproof but it allows the boat to dry out and not contain the mosture. Surlast is suppose to be waterproof, but I think they can still leak at the sewn seams. IMO if money was no issue a full heavy Sunbrella Mooring cover that covers the hull sides like Sydwayz mentioned is the best "storage" cover possible. A Commercial Sewning Trailering Cover is the only cover I would tow with installed, and a Sunbrella Cockpit cover with a zipper access is the only cover to use when the boat is in the water.
