Beautiful Ebay Find with Fresh HP500 Power and XT interior!

What a beautiful boat. Not mine but it caught my eye while browsing. Brand New XT interior and Fresh hp500 power. We enjoyed our 272 its the first Baja we owned that made us fall in love with the brand! Someone is going to get a sweet boat here!

That's Smurf's boat...Scott Montgomery.

Not sure what name he uses on here.

im in the market for a new baja but I have 0 mechanical knowledge for boat engines. Is an after market, rebuilt, engine a mistake for someone like myself to buy?

Good question

I personally think a rebuilt engine is BETTER for you or anyone to buy. In the marine world the engines just don't last as long as automobiles, so a fresh rebuild normally is a better value for you and requires less wrenching on. Especially when the person selling the boat is well known member of the community like Scott. Now a high strung high horsepower engine is not the best suited for a guy that has no mechanical knowledge. This boat in particular has a STOCK spec HP500 which is about the perfect engine for you. Anything less powerful will make you want more and anything more powerful will start to lose reliability. This boats HP500 is a very sought after engine.

I know this boat personally it was put together with all stock new parts everything was balanced just as it was from Mercury Racing. This boat is strong running and with the new XT Innovations interior it's a eye catcher.

Great looking boat and a great spec. I think the 272, when trimmed with updated colours and graphics looks timeless.

Definitely a VERY nice boat! I'm trying to talk a friend into looking at it, but he claims he needs to get a few things in order first...
