What are the possible issues as to why this is not working? He said at the price I am getting the boat at he feels he is not going to fix it. Apparently that is the only thing wrong with the boat.

cant be that bad. worse case, blower is shot. test power at blower with meter and that will tell you if its burnt. I had one that had the wire pulled out the connection.. easy fix. either way, fairly cheap and not completed if power wire is good. Other wise, your pulling new wires to back..

Thss boat has never spend the night in the water. He was just a day runner and when he did not use it, it was kept in the garage. He has owned it for the last 10 years and was the second owner. Just not sure if I can line up a surveyer in time.

The listing expired and I didn't get to see it.
If it checks out I'd call it a 20k plus or minus 10% boat.
Don't be fooled about its performance abilty.
That hull, my Canadian Internet friend, with more power will really wake up and haul the mail!!!
There are a few members here that have some wicked fast 272's
As in much faster than I would care to go in a less than low 30 foot boat.
Does your potential boat have hydraulic power steering???
At 415 hp I'd guess it's a 502mag.
You don't want to power up more than that without it.
I don't see you having a problem as is hitting mid 60's with the right prop.
Congrats on your find!!!:coolcowboy:

See ya,
Kelly

Yes, it has Power Steering. Just got it home. I wish I could figure out how to post a pic, then I would. Its a 99, Baja 272 with a 502, Bravo 1. It has 302hrs on it.

Also, what is the best prop for this boat? Its a stock 502 with I believe a stock prop, 23p. I need to verify. But, it certainly is not the best prop. It seems to wash out very easily. I am thinking 24p Bravo 1. I am not looking for the almighty top end. Just looking for better out of the hole and mid range pull with keeping the same top end or more. I guess I want it all. lol...

OK, so you went from the stock 23p mirage plus to a 23p Bravo 1, then to a 22p bravo 1?

oops... typo and i didnt proof... the 22 p b1 was uppitched to 23p. The 22 was a bit short, meaning cruised slower and tapped rev. The 23p b1 ran the same speeds as the 23p m+ but didnt lose cruise speed when loaded and was better out the hole when loaded.

I also tried a 21p rev4 which ran really well, but couldnt find a 23p rev4. According to bblades, basically the rev4 is better out the box than a B1. But labbing a B1 is better... mine wasnt labbed but felt really good over all.
Better holeshot, cruise, bit, docking, etc! oh, I also only had the 454mag, so you should be able to push a 24 b1 which will have better cruise.

I pushed it to 4k at 51 and topped out at 4700 at 63 in cool weather. (385hp)
