Got the motor in an all hooked up. Also got all the junk wiring fixed and bled k planes and steering. All thanks to Mickey. Its been some long nights, but it looks awesome. Taking it back to CMS tomorrow for initial start up. Should be splashing this weekend.

Looks great! What are you going to do with the rear seat? Looks like you got the batteries under where the seat would go. Doing modifications to that? Where are the exhaust dumps going? Out the side? Will that be an issue around the docks? I had the same dry exhaust on my 24 when I rebuilt it.

The back seat was cut and modified to allow it to be hinged to rock forward to access the bilge and front of the engine easier, nothing was bolted to the seat so allows it unabsteucted hinge action. Simply pull the 4 bolts from the base and 4 studs that hold the side cushions and the seat can come forward to remove the engine. Biggest issue with the 24 bilge is room to work on the front of the engine and when you have to take the engine out you have to fight moving the rear bench or disassemble the motor to a long block to get out. This will solve all these issues. The batteries were placed and tested so that the seat base will actually clear them so they can be left in place while hinging the seat.

Yes the exhaust dumps out the side so that he can verify water flow while running from the helm because at the moment he doesn't have water pressure gauges, that's this offseason project better gauges. As far as at the docks i guess people will have some wet feet lol. At idle it doesn't shoot that far fortunately.

I hear you about the limited room. I was getting real good at removing my rear seat. I love watching this thread, reminds me of my project. Looking forward to reading about and seeing the finished product.

It'll have some cool features when it's done, we are gonna get it together this season just so he can run and enjoy it and make his girlfriend see that the boat is progressing lol. Then over the winter he has a real cool idea for the dash unlike any 24 out there, get new interior, swim platform and I'm trying to convince him for us to paint it lol.

Boat ran awesome with the new CMS motor. To say Mickey was a huge help would be an understatement. All of the cool ideas for this project came from him. Although I helped to it I could have never done it by myself. I put 9 hours of break in time on it this weekend. The difference the hydro steering and the 380 K planes is unbelievable. It was 5 grand for those two items, but worth every penny IMO. Looking forward to enjoying it the rest of the season and doing some other nice mods over the winter.
