Cover

Winter is coming and I'm in bad need of a boat cover. I have a cockpit cover but I'd rather get a full cover. I was also thinking of maybe a carport type cover that you can get at Sams. What are you guys using for covers.....any help appreciated.

I found some decent priced covers at Eddie Marine. Called them about the covers the other day. Westland I think is the name. For the price, I will order one to put over my cockpit cover for the winter.

Here's a link to them http://eddiemarine.com/cart/default.asp

You might want to cut a piece of plywood to fit in your wheelwell to cover sun exposed tires if your in a carport.....the exposure will dry rot them over time! I've seen cheaper tires do it in 2 yrs.
I saw a full cover w/ side drapes so nothing was exposed, It interested me since I used to use a tarp over the full cover for the sun exposed sideswhen I had outside storage.......but the guy paid $1400 for it custom made. Had a draw string , then side panel w/ eye hooks just hung down........nice cover .

Heat shrink can be cost effective if you get some of your friends involved. Myself and 4 others purchased a heat gun and we buy a large roll of heat shrink material enough to cover 5 boats, and the cost works out to be about $50 per boat and it does a great job.
