Bolsters in a 24 outlaw
I am going to replace the carpet (glue down) in my 98, 24 outlaw. The bolsters look to be held down by lag bolts, is that what they are, or are they actual bolts screwing into maybe a Tnut or something? thanks for your help

Both of my old baja's just had lag bolts holding the bolsters down.

Take a look at these two threads:
http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...rew-holes.html http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...s-how-fix.html If they definitely are lag bolts when you pull them out, I'd replace with the Garelick Marine Toggles. |
I replaced mine. Put those self expanding style bolts on the putter edge and ran regular through bolts on the inner sides that you can access through the center access hatches in the floor.

Outlaws inside legs are held down with thru bolts and a backer plate (you should have an inspection port between the bolsters.) Pop that open and you'll find the hex nuts. Then the outside legs are lag
Bolted in. What I did with mine is I cut in 2 more inspection plates and thru bolted both the inner and outer legs. |
Thanks for the help,
