What is hook on a boat?
 

What is hook on a boat , please explain, How can I tell if I have it on my boat?

hook is a slight down-turn in the hull at the transom...easy to verify the extent with a straight edge laid across the bottom - if there is a gap between the straight edge and the hull you have hook

Is the straight edge laid Bow to Stern, or side to side?

Bow to stern and use a 6 foot STRAIGHT edge.

You have to get the hook out of your bottom, so all the ladies that dress like hookers want a ride in your fast boat.
