Default Officially no more teal/green!!

Finished putting carpet in and pulled green cording off trim! I definitly like the dark grey carpet. I cleaned the vinyl and it came out pretty good as well! Ordered some ss cup holders and I have more carpet that I will make a runner for the step and the run to the front, just have to bind it.

You've really done an outstanding job with her. Labor of love obviously.

I saw you mentioned a water soaked hatch. Did you replace the wood liner in the hatch? My 97 Outlaw's hatch got water logged too. One of a couple poor designs on Baja's part that I think they fixed in later years.

Looks great! I also have the teal/green scheme going on and am always contemplating changing it up.

I had replaced the wood in the hatch in winter 2015, the pad was actually what was soaked. It took about a week to fulling drain out.
When I put it back together, I reused what was left of the “silk film”, but this time, i wrapped every piece of foam this time on everything!! No way its getting water this time!

The wood was still good, I actually had layed fiberglass all over the wood where it had rotted previously and then some.

Boat looks great! What did you use for carpet in the cuddy? I have the red and I'm thinking I might want to replace it some day. Did you use contact cement? Carpet glue or a combination of the two? did you replace all the carpet under the seats in the cuddy also?

I actually sent to a carpet store and asked for any remnants they had left. I needed 21ft x 11ft worth. They ended up having some indoor/outdoor that looked pretty good and they only charged me $150!! I read a thread that Cig uses house carpet so I really was just looking for something that felt soft enough that I liked.

I bought some carpet glue and used probably 1/2 a gallon, but it was a pain to get it to stick on the sides and walls of boat so I used 3m spray adhesive. 70 worked, but 90 held better when I couldn’t get the carpet to stay stuck to the sides.

Came out pretty good, definitely some work! Have plenty of sharp blades and some good carpet scissors will make it a lil easier!

Found some SS cup holders on amazon for $16 (for 4!!)! Fit perfect and look great! Looking at some led interior lights to replace my yellowed lights next! Also refinishing the hatch trim white again.

New LED Lights came in. The base is smaller than the stock lights, so I made some trim pieces with the left over carbon red vinyl to cover the dent it left in the vinyl.

Also started making new vent covers!! Fun cutting out, but looks good! Debating if I cover the X’s on the vent or just leave metallic white with the black mesh.
