Default New Boat Maybe

I am looking a possibly picking up a 1991 Baja 225 but I cannot find a whole lot of information on this model so any help would be appreciated. Beyond the normal things to look at when looking at boats is there anything specific to this model that I need to watch out for? Thank you

I'M NOT A EXPERT by any stretch of the imagination. However, for a 1991 I would definitely look at transom and stringer rot. Baja is a fine boat but things can get really expensive very quickly if you have to pull the engine/outdrive and get all the bad wood repaired. However, with that said - if that checks out ok then I would want a scan on the engine see what kind of use the prior owner(s) would have put it thru.

All the best

Unless the motor has been replaced I don't believe you will be able to scan the motor. A 1991 would be a carb and I believe thunderbolt IV
