Monterey will put a 400r on their M-65. We were able to order ours and pick colors/options etc. So far Great Company to deal with.
Ours should be completed this week and be up North soon. I will report back once I have had a chance to run it. formula as well |

So here is the deal...Put about 20 hours on it so far.
Cons: -As suspected it can not handle the Chop like the Outlaw-no surprise there. -Top speed so far with 89 octane is only 55. I saw 56 when I put in 93 as the 400 likes to run on 91, but that was also with a full tank-it is probably a 57mph boat in best conditions. -They built it with the new Verado 400 instead of the 400r-losing 200rpms on top end. Pros: -0-55mph I think it walks away from our 496HO Outlaw all day. It jumps up on plane and scoots. -Much easier to get on and off for us and our older parents. 10 people can sit Very Comfortably. -Uses about a 1/3 less fuel compared to the Outlaw in my rough estimate. -The Verado can run at 6800 rpms all day long and you can barely hear it--oh wait maybe that is supposed to be a CON!!! For what we were looking for these days it works, but we will miss our Outlaw always! |
