1998 Baja 36 Outlaw
Hi all, I have been doing some searching, and it seems like there is a significant difference in pricing and some ads that are quite dated.
Looking at a boat local to me (close to Detroit) and wondering what you guys think the boat is worth. 1998 Baja Outlaw 36 (not SST) with 500hp merc with top ends done 100 hours ago with bills to prove. Mostly all original, cosmetics great, everything works, good stereo etc.and great survey results by reputable surveyor with 20 years experience. 2007 Triple axle trailer Thanks for any input |
$40-50k |
Big difference between the 1998 and 2000+ Cockpit interior design,,,,, X dimention for starters. Id agree with 40s highly based on condition at that age

Still in discussion with seller, found out it is an SST model, Changes value at all?

SST means nothing. It was just a option package. (.:faint2: Dam Doug did good with that one, BAHAHAHA. He liked the way SST sounded and everyone thought it was some sort of unicorn or something. How much dose colored rings around the gauges ass to the value. :angry-smiley-038:
Personally Ill stay with 2000 and newer for the better interior colors, better graphics, and larger swim platform. |
A lot of Outlaws were SST 's because like stated it was an option package that consisted of Graphics, colored gauges, snap in cockpit carpet, depth finder and a few more little goodies. You could essentially build an SST by adding the same options (besides the graphics) but it would cost more. We sold Baja's back in the early 2000s and I think all the Outlaws we ordered were SST's because it made the most sense.
2000+ is what you want for sure for X dimension. Our Shop Boat was a '98 36 Outlaw SST with twin 500HPs and we spent a lot of money on it to try and make it run like the newer X dimension boats. Extension boxes , shorter lowers etc. |
