1993 Baja 240 Islander Ladder Install

Does anyone have experience installing a ladder on a 1993 Baja 240 Islander or similar setup.
It looks like an under side mount telescoping ladder should work.
However, I am trying to gather as much information as I can before drilling any holes and trying to run bolts or screws.
I certainly appreciate any information that anyone can offer.

Are you installing one to REPLACE the existing one or...what? If I remember correctly, the stock/factory ladder was mounted on the port side, on the underneath side of the swim deck. The problem is access to the inner part of the hull to attach some sort of backing plate and/or the nuts for the bolts. I always assumed these ladders were installed prior to the top and bottom halves of the hull being assembled. You might have some luck cutting a large opening and installing an inspection plate, this would allow you to easily install the ladder and securely mount it with backing plates...then install the screw-in cover.
Windline was the OEM supplier for Baja ladders, to the best of my knowledge.https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...b98a8c13a.jpeg
