Yes it was a nurse shark and yes he was very much alive and strong, it was just some mexican guys on Isle Mejures of the coast of cancun that have had these sharks in a big sectioned off area on the beach and you just swim with them and give the guys a tip, I rode on a 100' cat with quad 800 H.P. diesel jets to get to the Island, we got there in a hurry, I'm still looking for the film for the pics of the cat
