Well I took some abuse for the dry pipes tonight

People are so ANAL!! We have this parade of lights every year and I put my boat in the harbor and go watch the parade. Well it's a huge deal and theres like 2 thousand people that show up for this thing and watch all the boats with christmas lights. It just seemed everywhere we went people were talking sh!t because the exhaust was too loud. I can personally care frickin less, they can blow me for all I care. Just thought I'd share my first negative reactions with you guys. I knew they were coming eventually....Oh well:rolleyes:

The owner of our local Tiki Bar told a friend of mine he was no longer welcome because of the dry pipes on his boat.

Tank,

I don't even have dry pipes and get that same reaction from time to time.

The way I look at it is like this. This is what we enjoy, it is our money, it is legal (in most places), and if they don't like it they can get back into their electric cars and drive back to the rain forest.:D

Take care Mark

Like I said, I knew it was going ot happen sooner or later.....It doesn't bother me, I never have problems any other time either. We're lucky that way. the places we boat aren't down on the loud pipes like I hear some places are. It's all good, next time I'll just back up to the people and let the boat idle while I blast my music!!!:D :D :D :D :D

If they meet the decibel legal level then tell them to piss-off. I ran into this problem with some anal rich folk who lived on the river I ran. My pipes were not even dry. I came to the dock to do some tweaking and the local lawenforcement was there waiting. They had no meter and no clue was the legal level was just claimed I was in violation of the local noise ordinance ?! I was asked to retrieve my boat. As I questioned them , they became irritated and asked if I'd like to be escorted to the city hall. I declined. I later found out from a coasty friend of mine , that they do not have the authority to do this. I never had any more problems.

People are going to complain about anything and everything. I love the loud pipes I get goosebumps every time I hear some one roaring down the river or hear some one's boat before I see it !!!:D

Good Luck

Well you must have had the boat off when you heard them talking about it.......Just fire that sucker back up and solve the problem haha. With all the negative reactions.....just remember there are those of us out there that really really like the sound of thumping exhaust notes blasting through the air :)........such as me ;)
