Good morning. I recently purchased a 2002 342 but the Vac-u-Flush head was not working. further inspection thru a 4" x4" hole cut under the cabin step revealed a loose wire hanging from the Vacuum Switch of the "VG2" tank. The access floor panel under the driver bolster only allowed access to the holding tank but access to the VG2 was blocked by a stringer. I didn't remove the left side floor panel because my model has the sink/ice maker(cooler).
After some measurements i found an access panel that would fit the space just outside of the cabin and directly over the VG2 unit. I drilled a hole in the front right corner and used a jig saw, WARNING! the flooring is an inch thick and there IS NOT MUCH CLEARANCE, use a short blade or block the plate of the jigsaw to avoid any damage to the top of the VG2.
So now I have full access to the VG2 and the lines to and from, I also have access to the shower drain tank/pump box which was also bad. I have decided to remove the Vac-U-Flush system and install a macerating toilet which will pump directly to the holding tank for pump out. I going to sell the VG2 unit and Head as the VG2 is no longer made and someone else may need parts.
Good Luck ya'll I hope this helps someone else.
