Just wondering if your name (or user ID) Wette Vette has anything to do with a custom boat BAJA built years ago with the same name. Im looking for some pictures of it. Thanks!

I do rember the article on that boat, but that isn't my boat. I love Corvettes and just thought WETTE VETTE would be a fitting name for my 1990 210 Sport. I figure if the original WETTE VETTE shows up where I boat and has a problem with my boats name I would ask if he wants to race for it.:D Good luck finding pictures. If you do be sure to post them on OSO. I'm sure the Baja forum members would love to see them.

Thanks for all the responses. I'll try to talk to some guys out at BAJA this week and see if I can come up with any more info on this boat!

Team Baja Are you the factory?

No, but its about a mile from my house and I have alot of buddies that work there.

I have most of the Baja factory brochures from about 1992 on.
The brochure from the 1992 brochure has some pictures of this boat and the Corvette they pulled it with.

Being the computer illiterate that I am I can't get my computer to past the images here. If someone would do that, I would be happy to e-mail them the images.

Where are you from?

Malibu Ski Boats made a COrvette issue for about 3-4 years in the late 90's. Pretty sweet, but I like my normal old Response LX just the same. Hell, that thing cam out of the factory with more HP than my Outlaw.

Malibu (1997) 350/325hp
24Outlaw (1998) 454/300hp

I'm sure the tq is better on the BB though, but the setup on the ski boat is all tq oriented. Top end at 5400 is 49!!!!!
