Darrin, are you limiting your services to baja customers for any particular reason? I am still waiting to see how doc holidays props worked out for him as I plan on doing some b1's 28p this spring.

Hey JC - If you don't mind, let me know how your props turn out when you get them back from Darin. I was thinking about sending him mine just to get cleaned up. I am real interested to find out your results since we have the same boat (single 29 outlaw w/ 502 mag). Thanks - Eric

maybe Doc will post a picture of the leading and trailing edges of his props and then look at yours? the rpm will come up and I hope the speed does as well. I should have put the satin finish on them like Mercury does ,but they dont look near as nice,we are not limited on repairs, as we do all types of props up to 36" in dia.It is the Mercury Mirage prop that I can get the most out of and you know how many Baja's have this prop on them.:D if the edges are razor sharp and slighty rounded its the best but they sure dont last very long.Doc's props are not, but they are alot thinner than stock.Darin

it does not matter I am pretty sure what to do to get you some additional performance out of the stock Mirage prop you have and if I dont just send it back and no -charge to you we will do it again ,but you won't need to.;) Darin

Just to be sure.. Are you talking Mirage or Mirage Plus? Giant difference you know!!

jcboats 01-26-2003 01:41 PM

mirage vs. mirage plus

what is the difference between mirage vs. mirage plus??

jc

HOUSTONPROP 01-27-2003 05:16 AM

mirage plus /mirage

JC basically the main difference is blade thickness/the plus is alot thicker than the old mirage the plus also has the vent hole already pre casted with removable plugs the two props fit on the same pitching mold. the rake and pitch is the same.;) also you will find the mirage plus has a much nicer finish compared to the older ones some were polished and the old quicksilver mirage is also the same but was always a rough satin finish when they first came out.they also rusted alot if the prop had been in salt water. :D hope I have helped out JC. /Darin

BajaRunner 01-27-2003 07:26 AM

I think too the mirage plus comes with cupping and the mirage does not.

HOUSTONPROP 01-30-2003 06:13 AM

CUPPING ?

HELLO!!!!! Jason no both props and most all props now days have cupping.;) UNLESS IT IS A FULLY SUBMERGED PROP such as a tug boat or something like that I am doing a pair of brass 28x30 pitch that have no cupping.:fish: Darin
