Hi all,

I thought I would post my props that were just sent down to Darin at Houston Prop. This will be a good opp. to see his results. Check these out, 25 Mirage Plus's that I think found a crab trap or two in the Chesapeake - before I bought the boat. I'll post pics of the finished product and the test results. Got some rare time on my hands right now - so I'll mess around on OSO.

You're missing the crabby custum cupping!

Luv-N-It 02-22-2003 09:04 AM

One thing is for sure, Darin did my prop right the first time. I also realize my prop is not in the condtion as yours. I have talked with him on the phone too. Really nice guy. He told me if I'm not satisfied, let him know,he will make it right with me. I told him how crucial it was for me to have my prop back to me in a certain time frame. I sent the prop to him on a Monday next day UPS (from Ohio to Texas) and he had it back to me on Friday of the same week, so that, I could take my boat to a local lake shootout on Saturday. Thanks again Darin.

If you are not happy, Darin will do WHATEVER it takes to make you happy. Can't beat that. Somebody standing behind their work till the very end!

Ok Darin, now can I have a freebie next time:D

Shooter 04-16-2003 04:07 PM

Hi,

Sorry, I don't understand your message. I spoke with you a week or so after you posted that they were going out (the 2nd time) and had not seen them. You posted they were going out last Monday after I spoke with you last week.

When will these come back to me for real? I was really counting on those props for this weekend. Actually I was counting on them for last weekend. My boat is stuck on my lift until I get props on it. I have to do some work on the boat and I'm SOL until I recieve these. I'm a little concerned becasue if you said that they were not right you would turn them around in one week after receiving them. How can you do this in the busy season and when you have had the props since February. I really hate to start to badger you on this but nows' the time to get to them and ship them to me.

Please help me out here, like I said when I 1st talked to you, I usually use Bronson Hill and was very happy with them. I wanted to get them to you because of your support of us Baja guys here on the board and you appear to have a lot of knowledge.

Please help me out, Thanx

Shooter 04-16-2003 04:33 PM

Can't say Darin is not responsive.

He called me right as=fter the above post, explained the mix-up. Offered to drive them to UPS and overnite them - not neccessary, got plenty of stuff to keep me busy over the weekend. I just finsihed rebuilding my "Classic" Jap bike so maybe I'll ride it a bit.

I had a bad experience some time back where I could not boat 1/2 the season and got worried. As long as they ship this week it's cool. Sounds like his business it doing well.

Thanx!

yes it may not look bad here until its in your hand /there are 3 hrs in the props as we stand and a minium of 3 or more to do on these props /also shooter mentioned polishing/? I talked with him and the props are to be finished satin finish per request.( JUST IN CASE HE TAKES PICS) he does not want them thinned either but needs 300 more rpm and wants more speed/ props have alot of cavation burns on pushing side of blades will need to add cup also /its just as not as easy as it looks/and of course we all want more speed:D GOTTAHaveIt ,I know you were just kidding around ,I am just letting you know its more than one visually see's.;) OFF TO THE SHOP LATER.Darin

Shooter 04-17-2003 08:08 AM

I'm ok with the thinning, just not the "super thin" level. The mirage plus is pretty thick to being with. I beleive you said satin was better and was less effort and cost.

Well... they sure are purdy, idled to the launch pretty good (just across the street from my lift) at least I'm lucky in some ways. I'll post the perfromance results after I finish my gel coat, bezels, chartplotter and all the other spring crap I bought.
