Need help finding decals
I have a 1997 272 BOSS I need to find the BAJA decals for the side of the boat. Sea Ray of Richmond is a Baja dealer and said they could get them now that we stripped the old ones off they won't even return my phone calls.Does anyone know another dealer in Virginia that I can try. I think there is one in Woodbridge VA. does anyone know their name and number.Summer is getting close and a new paint job sure looks plain without the Baja name on the side. Thanks for any help.

call Baja direct, or a large dealer likeDick Simon or Big Thunder, The ski dock in Austin had a few in stock call them www.skidock.com
|
Thanks for the help I'll try them tomorrow.

I had an Force once with the "Sun" & "Force 235" decals that I needed. Since they could no longer be purchased, I had a sign shop make them. Laser cut, awesome quality, looked just like original. They sell Baja decals sometimes on E-Bay. Search Baja Boats. The company might be able to make you something custom. It's amazing what these guys can make. Good Luck.

never satisfied a.k.a. pinky clark with a e why are you putting baja decals on your boat.
i thought you own a glastron |
Dude there are grafix companies on every corner they can make some up for way less than buying them from Baja....
|
Full Tilt Marine is the dealer in Woodbridge, VA. They are a few minuutes off of 95.
|
Marine Center of Indiana did have them in stock. Ask for Don. 317-781-5535, 1-800-942-6287.
I bought a couple of the side Baja decals from them a short time ago, and they were only $!8 or so. |
Baja will send you to your local marina to buy the older ones. They wanted 45$ per decal. Outrageous. Time to go to a custom Graphics shop!
|
I bought a set of the large Baja side decals for the H2X and they were $18 each. Also bought the H2X decals (much smaller) and they were $46 ea. Go figure.
I believe some of the older decals will be much more expensive from the dealer, because of less demand, and they (Baja) don't even make them until they get enough orders to justify the effort to have them made. Much easer to get the older ones from any one of the folks who make themselves known on these boards that are in the business. |
Thanks for all the input.Icalled the paint shop on Tuesday and they are having them made from BAJA. Don't know what they are going to cost me but I guess I'll find out soon enough. As for the BIG POPPA PUNK with a K comment I wouldn't disgrace the BAJA name by putting them on a Glastron. That Glastron your referring to says he's going to make that Skater thing you call a boat look like it belongs in dry storage instead of the river.

What about the "Speed Changes You" Baja decal? I want one of those. I went to Baja Marine. com and found none. Anyone?
|
The only sticker on the Baja site is that Black Baja in cursive 48" long.

Get ahold of either Geographics or Ryan Beckley. Either can make decals for you. Geographics made these older style Baja decals for me

Ric232,
The white with checkered pattern and irredescence is no longer avialable due to the yellowing when exposed to UV. They have replacement designs available, usually the turned steel, but to make it match would require replacing gauge and switch panels as well. If the pieces are in stock, the pricing isn't too bad. If the pieces have to be made by their vendor... forget about it. We recommend having your panels painted, powder coated, whatever to get them looking good again. Sorry I didn't have better answer for you. Cheryl Thunder Performance Marine Service Parts Dept |
