still looking for a name

what do you think of "NAUTI NAUTI"?

Have you seen it too much?

Big E 03-15-2003 08:35 PM

Craig - Check out the Team Baja Marine site, I posted a name for you.

SSComp 03-17-2003 12:47 PM

I've seen the "knotty, Naughti, etc." a little over used in its permutations.

Personally I like to name my boats after something I do or like to do.

"Nuff said" came with the boat I have, but I like it. If the other brand names can read my BAJA transom then I've proven my boat's prowess.

I was going to call it "Blown Bayou" (has a triple meaning). Wife liked it until she figured out the third meaning.

"Knot A Problem"

Big E 03-18-2003 09:29 PM

names

Okay Craig - I'm still trying, how about:

"Driver Carries No Cash" (I fit in this category pretty good)
"Knot right"
"Knot my problem"
"Knot big enough"
"Knot fast enough"
"All knotted up"
"Lotsa Knots"
"3 girls and an Outlaw" (Your two daughters and wife)
"3 Chicks and an Outlaw"
"Inlaws Outlawed" (My Favorite, my Wife didn't like it)
"LOTO Outlaw"
"Livin' La Vida LOTO" (good one, wish somone would use it)
"Got Baja?"
"LOTO Losers"
"naught right"
"Throttle up"
"Whats in a name?"
"Got Beer?"
"Serenity Now!"
"Serenity Now....Serenity Now...." (From Sienfeld)
"Fuel this"
"Got Fuel?"
"Got Gas?"
"Weekend Outlaw"
"40 hrs then Outlaw" (For weekend boater)
"Over 40 hrs Outlawed" (For clock watchers at work)
"Worries Outlawed"
"Complaints Outlawed"
"Whining Outlawed" (especially with kids on board)
"Boredom Breaker"
"Just in time"
"Whats up Dock?"
"She approved" (She being your wife)
"She disapproved"
"She agreed"
"We need speed"
"Just what we need" (not bad)

What is your last name? We tied up to a cruiser last year that was named "Moore Onz" The husbands last name was Moore and the wife's maiden name was Onz. I thought that was pretty clever. I'll keep trying.

:D :D :D

bajacraig 03-18-2003 10:54 PM

Eric

YOUR GREAT:D
If cant pick one of yours I should sink the boat at the dock:D

Ones I like;
"3 chicks and an Outlaw"
"Inlaws Outlawed" (thats great)
"Throttle up" (I had came up with "Hammer Down")
"Worries Outlawed" (or the same... Things to be "Outlawed")

I also like Dock Holidays "Knot A Problem"

The wife would kill me if I wanted "Knot Big Enough" or "Knot Fast Enough"

And I thought I had a lot of time:D

Thanks for the HELP, I'll buy the first beers this summer:D

Craig

Highmark 03-19-2003 06:42 AM

Just bought a 33 Outlaw this week. My new screen name (Highmark) will be my boat name. I do a lot of snowmobiling in the mountains of Wyoming and a popular thing to do there (and my favorite hobby) is called "Highmarking." It's basically when you climb the mountain as high as you can go and turn around before you get stuck. The sled that goes the highest has "Highmarked" or put the "Highmark" on the mountain. It is an adrenaline rush riding a 500+ lb 150 H.P.+ machine up the side of a mountian, then bringing it back down if you don't make it over the top.

Highmark

TEAMBAJA 03-19-2003 08:19 AM

Big E 03-28-2003 10:25 PM

Come on Craig - I hear it is bad luck to take possession of a boat and not name it within 24 hours. You are now looking at 48 hours with no name. Lets hear what it is, you have a lot of choices. You don't want to start the season with no name and bad luck do you? Just kidding. Eric

yzbert 03-29-2003 05:27 AM

i vote for no shoes no shirts

side of my boat were you step in / on reads naked feet required, naked bodies expected.

whatcha got?

Outlawcowgirl 03-29-2003 01:43 PM

Steel Outlawed 03-29-2003 01:46 PM

While everyone one is giving suggestions. I would like to change the name of my boat also. 25 Outlaw SST, 502, I own a software company that is used for drawing steel fabrication drawings. Any suggestions for me. Thanks all.

Steelware - I am all too familiar with your type of work. I am an engineer for a large construction company here in the mid-west. I handle a lot of the steel and precast erection jobs for our company. I will be able to think of a good name for you, I just need to noodle over it a bit. But here are a few:

Minor Details (structural steel detailing)
Details, Details
Iron Outlaw
Outdraw
Quick Draw Outlaw
Cadd Outlaw
Slip Critical (slip critical connection)
Bolt up
Field Splice
Draw it up
Shop Primed
Built to Last
Final Draw (Final Drawings)
Built for Speed
Detailed Outlaw

I will think of more, I need to get my AISC Manual out and I know something good will come up.

Steel Outlawed 03-30-2003 07:03 AM

Big E,

Good to hear of someone else having to deal with steel on a regular basis. Can be frustrating, but would not change for the world. Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming. I hope to have the new name this week. Where I can get it cut and on the boat.

bayou outlaw 03-30-2003 08:05 PM

outlawcowgirl, I had also thought of "outlaw posse" a while back. Still considering that one. I like it! I need to hurry up and name mine too, it has been way too long without a name.

HOUSTONPROP 03-31-2003 08:04 AM

how about

NO Name

IN COG NEAT "o"

jawbreakerkid 03-31-2003 09:46 AM

bajacraig- when did/do you take delivery of your boat? i saw a 33' Outlaw loaded on a flatbed semi trailer heading south on Hwy 54 to Osage Beach on Sunday, March 23rd. it had the same graphics as yours. just wondering if it was the same boat? did you buy it from Big Thunder?

jbk

Big E 03-31-2003 09:20 PM

Okay Steelware - How about "Allowable Stress" refering to Allowable Stress Design. If you don't like it, I'll keep trying, but I think its pretty fitting for you. Eric

bajacraig 04-01-2003 12:17 PM

JBK,

That was it :D Yes we did get it from Big Thunder. We went down on Thursday 27 to take some pictures. The wife had our second baby girl at 1:33 am this morning so we wont be able to take it out for a few weeks but should be a lot of fun soon.

bajacraig 04-01-2003 07:03 PM

JBK,

Do you have the 33 that is or was for sale at LOTO?

If so, can I ask where you got the vent covers? They look very cool, I would love to do the same.

jawbreakerkid 04-02-2003 08:16 AM

Steelware:

How about "Stressless"

Steel Outlawed 04-03-2003 07:46 PM

I still have not made up my mind, but I'm leaning toward "Steel Outlawed". Does anyone have any comments about this one.
