212 with a 496MAG H.O. ordered today
Whelp...ordered today.....I've decided on a 212 Islander with the 496 MAG H.O. (I'm thinking it should be pretty quick) with Outlaw graphics, pipes and basically everything else you can order.
Any speed predictions anyone? Anyone have any experience with this hull (Hammer is the same) at high speeds? Is it a capable high speed hull on small water, or is it going to be a "death ride-white knucke experience? About the worst waves we get here is the wake from another boat passing that you have to cross. Sin |
Sounds awesome! You'll love that engine!

Sin, Congrats. I'm waiting on a 33 out;aw w/ twin 496HO's. 5/28 can't get here fast enough.

33 OUTLAW
MAN I wish I was on bigger water....I'd LOVE a big assed Outlaw in a stable :)

Wow, what prop is hanging on the back end, I would guess 74 to 76 on speed,

prop
For a start....it's whatever prop they send. I "think" that's a mirage.
Guess we'll see if they prop it decent or not from the factory. Sin |
They will most likely ship it with a 25P Mirage Plus. They may ship it with a 23P since this is the pitch that is best suited to most of their single engine boats. You will be bouncing off the rev limiter with a 23P.

Sinister,
Congrats. Sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I'd say mid-70s as well. Had a Hammer a while back (7.4) and is was good in 1 - 2 foot lake stuff. I added tabs and that helped out a lot. Fatdady, we've got a 33 with HP500s. Your going to love it:D |
my old H2x had a 23 mirage plus and it would hit the rev limiter all day with two are three people in the boat, you will need a 25 for sure
