What type of waxes
I was just wondering what type of wax everyone is using on there decks and sides? I just had my 2000 outlaw buffed to bring the true colors back on the deck and want to keep it that way. I haven't found a good boat wax yet, so any input would be appreciated.

Mequires "Flag Ship"
It is the best I have found. At a recent poker run, a professional detailer saw me using it and commented that it was the best on the market. About $15.00 per bottle at West Marine. |
I use Meguires 3 step process (cleaner, polish, wax) then hit it with a cote of Diamond 55. I got it from the guy who details my Dad's stuff. I see it at alot of detail shops.
I alos heard Prowax is very good. That 3 step deal from Meguires though is pretty tight.... |
Meguires is the chit! I've used it on vehicles for years with pleasing results and their flagship, like dock uses, is great for boats!
I also really like Collenite's waxes. That stuff goes on easy, buffs out with little effort and will keep its shine and keeping beading for well over a year, although I wax a lot more often than that. |
Good question Johnny!
I waxed with good old turtle wax and only had her out three times and it has already dulled. I am going to try that Flag Ship stuff! I sure am getting a wicked muscle it my right arm from all the waxing and buffing on my girl. :D |

I use all the Meguire products on boats and cars.
I like the Nu-Finish in an orange bottle for waxing in the sun. Comes of good, and leaves a nice shine! |
Flagship
buy it at walmart for about $12 |
Super Glaze....and nothing but.

I'm a big fan of 3M products. They don't advertise much, and their packaging is rather plain. But every time I use their products, they are top notch. I use the 3M Ultra Marine Paste Wax.
