36 Outlaw Pictures
OK guys,
I hope this will work out OK. Over the last couple of months I have received close to a dozen requests for pictures and information on the 36 outlaw, options I have installed and how the factory set things up on the boat. Most all of you should have received all the information you requested. I am glad to share and answer your questions. Keep the cards and letters coming. In an effort to help all and keep this website as informative as possible, I am going to list all the pictures I have and that you have requested. Dock Holiday |

Ordered the boat the first week of March 2002. It was delivered June 16th 2002. Approximately 15 weeks total.
This is what it looked like when we visited the factory on May 6th, 2002. |

The boat finally shows up in North Carolina. The dealer was suppose to call me and didn't. They brought it down on a flat bed and had a crane waiting to lift it off and set it right on the trailer.
It is a Myco trailer that had arrived a couple of weeks before the boat. |

We had the flags made in advance and they were waiting for the boat to be delivered.
Clint at GeoGraphics did the work. They are air brushed to give them that look of waving in the wind. |

The mufflers Baja is so proud to ship on your new boat!

GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D
Replace with straight tips purchased direct from Corsa. They are really nice people to deal with and the service was excellent. They shipped the same day. Kevin Brady at Port Jacksonville Sea Ray/Fountain did the installation. WOW, what a difference, the headers sing a sweet song at about 3 grand. If you've got those mufflers, get rid of them, "It's a Good Thing". |

The boat came with Bravo I "XZ" drives pushing 26 Pitch Bravo I 4-blades props.
Darin at Houston Propeller worked them over and now the 500's are turning close to 5300 RPM. |

Baja hit a home run in my opinion when they changed to Latham Hydraulic steering. The hardward is beautiful. Everything on the transom is polished and everything in the engine compartment is blue to match the engines.

Now for a few upgrades.
We have added red bezels under the hour meters, Gil sea strainers and Arizona Speed & Marine billet air filters. Also have switched to Fram HP4 Oil Filters. Note the Latham steering resevoir. |

We chose "Arizona Speed & Marine", because the boat is documented with the port of call at "Tombstone".

Gil Strainers.
Thanks to Kevin Brady for talking me out of the other brand I thought I had to have. These Gil's are awesome. |

OK, for you guys with the A/C questions, there is a brass strainer and another cut off valve located under the right sea strainer as pictured above.
This is a picture of the brass thru hull pickup for a air conditioning. Located just in front of the port engine. |

Triple rear bolster.
Note blue cup holders. I know a lot of you have had problems getting these in on the triple setup due to the Oh **** handles. I did break two of the plastic ones removing them, and had to use the dremel (spelling) to taper the plywood frame slightly to slide these in at an angle. Take your time and you can to it. These is a lot of room under the seat. Both batteries and cut off switches are under it. I keep the tool bag, oil, shore power cable, and water hose under there also. |

The Helm.
COMPLETELY stock from the factory as shown. |

The helm, no longer stock.
I love the layout. Everything is easy to see, reach and operate. No, I do not hit my leg on the VHF. Installed are the following: Blue cup holder, Icom VHF and intergrated four man intercom system. Ray 320 Chartplotter, GPS speedo with tattle tale, GPS antenna, and water pressure guages with blue Livorsi deck mounts. |

When you are standing it is a clear line of site to the GPS. When sitting it is still in full view if the steering wheel is tilted down. Raise the wheel up and it will interfer with the line of site.

On the outside of the helm is the control for the intercom system.
This location works very well because it is in easy reach of the passengers also. I plug my headset into the panel located on the right side just above the blue cup holder. The button on the left of where I plug in allows me to talk out on the VHF while wearing the headsets. |

If you want a setup like this call Steve at Performance Radios in California. He went out of his way to give me a complete flush mount kit with headsets for four people. I sent my VHF radio to him and he made it all work together for about $1000.00.
Then I paid the "GREAT" Barry Woosley about two hundred more for an awesome installation. It is completely noise free. Thanks Steve & Barry Performance Radio's 1-800-346-8049 |

I got to tell you, the Blue Chart is ten times better than the C-Map. Clarion head unit, AM/FM/CD |

Rear plug in's. One on each side.
Note their is not a button for them to push in the back to talk on the VHF. If they need to talk out, all you have to do is push the button up front and they will talk out also. You can listen to the VHF in the background and all the passengers can just talk right over it. If I'm going to talk out on the VHF, I usually ask everyone to be quiet a minute. |

We opted for the Polk Audio upgrade stereo offered by Baja with the MOMO speakers.
It came with four speakers, two subs and four tweeters in the cockpit. There were two speakers, two tweeters and a powered sub in the cuddy. It also had two amps and a six disc changer in the cuddy. There is a remote at the helm and another one in the cuddy. Bottom line is for what it cost, it just did not sound that good. Once again with the help of Barry Woosley that problem was solved. Barry said we had good equipment, we just needed to fine tune it. He added two 6-1/2 inch MB Quart speakers in the cockpit powered by their own amp. Then he put the subs in the cockpit on their own amp. WOW, it made a 300% difference. Barry, you know your ****!!!!!! |
