OK, I give up
Well, I seem to have been smitten by the 3ft bigger bug, and can't find a cure except to comply.
I would trade my 94 Bandit II, 454 mag, Eagle, and my 98 H2X fresh 7.4mpi, new cutty, new Eagle/disc on a 272 or 29 outlaw. I would consider trading one or both, up, down, or sideways. The H2X is still in winter storage, so I don't yet have any pics, but here is the Bandit. 317-791-9019 Phil |
Its not worth 4 feet to move off the water. I could have bought a bigger boat or lake property.
To have your boat sitting out there in the lake is SOO worth it my .02 |

I could do it but it would take moving off the lake and into a small house around 1,800 sq ft at $130K. It's a scary thought though, a boat that costs more than my house? ;) Well if I could build a garage/shop big enough to keep the boat in then I could justify moving off the water. This is the view from my back yard (standing on the roof)... Buck |
Originally posted by buck183 It's interesting to see the difference in the cost of living between places. $130k would get you at least 2,500 sq ft. here. My house new was $75k and it's 1600 sq ft. Buck $130k will get you a manufactured home at 1,000 sq ft. :hothead: |
Pwam1,
Dude, I hear ya! I'm looking at TopGuns and Cafe Racers but need to sell my boat first. I've just got done putting about 20K into it and the trailer and now the thing is sweeter than when I bought it. So I'm a little conflicted right now:rolleyes: :D Gottahaveit, Bro, that view is AWSOME!!! Does it stay warm there most of the year?? I wouldn't even consider selling that. It's like Baja runner said, it's not worth moving off the water! Bajalion, I can't believe you haven't sold that thing yet! It's a sweet ride and seems to be priced right. Good luck with it. Tank |
Haveit- with that view I'd take up fishing and buy a Jon boat.
29 Outlaw. Your saying is funny. We called our old trailer up at the lake "Valium in a tin can" |
Pwam1,
I had the bug too but my symptoms were slightly worse. I had the 4 ft bug (from a 212 Hammer to the 252 Islander). I'm not sure that I'm cured yet because now the 29's are very appealing! GottaHaveIt, Where on Conroe is that? Almost looks like somewhere between April Sound and the dam. But then again with all the nice houses out there, it's hard to tell. Very nice view. From about the mid-80's until about 1999, my family had a waterfront condo in April Sound but we weren't lucky enough to have our own boat lift! Of course back then I was in jet-ski mode (couldn't afford the Baja's yet) and preferred to go to the San Jac river and hardly used the condo. Now that we're in boat mode, I would love to have the condo back! Take care and maybe we'll see you around-we've been hitting Conroe every weekend for the past month or so (new boat fever)! |
Have it...you're just messing with us northern folk aren't you? You wouldn't really move you just want to make us jealous.
|
If you move you need your head examined......:D
Tank...........Just sell the damn thing!! When you pick up the Cig you always wanted you will be like...."why the hell did I not do this 3 years ago!!" I.d buy your boat, but I already have one......HeHeHe...... I got an idea, you sell MY boat, and I'll get a Cig :D ;) See ya people......A4 |
Gottahaveit,
You are F*CKIN NUTTS if you sell that house!! Allan, Yea, I'll be happy with a new cig until I need a new drive or the whole double motor issues or how about the fact that I'll have to store it instead of keep it at my house like I do with the boat now or have to put gas in it!:D :D . And I'll have to buy a new truck because the burb prob. wont pull it.  These are the reasons I procrastinate;) But let me tell you, I got the trailer re-done....All I can say is, SWEEEEEET!! I'll post some pics soon. Tank |
Pwam1,
Call me. I have a 2001 29 Outlaw with t/454 mags with 5 year warrenties (2007) SST Package loaded right up with all the good hardware and with a triple axle custom trailer to match all for $79,000 and I would consider a trade Baja Daze has seen the boat personally and would stand up for the condition of this Baby 9.5 out of a 10 Bob Scanlon 518 361-0811 518 644-9115 |
Tank....how does that saying go...."brilliant minds think alike...."
Soooooo many drawbacks to going with big twins. Sometimes it makes you think, "I have it pretty good right now, why muck it up and make a bigger headache?" I here ya man, I think the same things when I kick around going bigger at some point. Everything doubles......gas, maint etc.... I bet the Burb would handle that thing, as long as it is 3/4 ton. I think you have a 1/2 ton though. Something tells me you have a BIG FREAKING DROP HITCH!!:D :D The storage, I feel you pain there to. I have plenty of room in my back yard, but in the winter it is inside for $75 a month (actually has been for the last 1 1/2 years as well). Not bad, but a buck is a buck in my parts..... Just keep in mind bro....this ain't no practice run, you only get 1 shot at life..... :D :D |
