Finally got a warm enough day to put her in the water but just as we did T-storms got breaking out all over. Only got to drive her from the launch to the slip but now she's on the lift and ready to go at a moments notice.:D

Outlawcowgirl 05-12-2003 08:11 AM

ttb: I'm from the Dubuque area and do most of my boating in Dubuque. Are you going on Hawkeye's poker run June 6th?

Highmark,
we'll be there at the hawkeye poker
run, don't know which boats, how many
people, etc. til we get a head count,
but my entry form has been sent in.

My boats my avitar,
we may also ride in a 96' 32 flat deck
if we only have enough people to
fill 4 bolsters and the back seat.

we'll see you there

nice ride

Highmark 05-14-2003 08:19 AM

I already have 6 (including the wife and I). I'm glad the 33 has such a spacious cockpit!:D My slip is at the marina/bar where the drivers meeting/first card pick up is at. Should be a great time, always is.:D :D Its always something to see 125+ boats in one lock. I'm bringing the digital camera this year to take some pictures. Hope to see you there. Make sure you stay for the Regatta on Sat. That can be a lot of fun as well.:D :D

JaayTeee 05-14-2003 10:09 AM

Hopefully,
we can "lock up" this year,
hopefully, there's not to much
floating **** in the water too.
We're coming up thurs. nite,
leaving sunday A.M.
They made Bellvue beach
much bigger also.

see you there,
jt

Hey guys, I'll be at the Hawkeye poker run this year too. I'm heading south from MN on Thursday evening. I'll be there with 3 29's, 1 33, and 1 or 2 25's. We should hook up and have a drink!

JaayTeee 05-14-2003 02:41 PM

We've been know to have
a few drinks:D :D :D

Highmark 05-14-2003 04:26 PM

Sounds like a plan to me. See everyone there. :D  :D

Highmark, Congrats. Mine is due in 2 weeks. Just spoke w/ the guys at the Custom Shop, started doing the graphics today. I left it in their hands/imagination. Oh boy. Got the exact same set up, 33 w/ 496ho's. How did it sound and run?

Highmark 05-16-2003 06:27 AM

The run from the launch to my slip/lift is about 300 feet and all no wake zone so I don't have much to report yet. I will most likely take her out this afternoon for a good break in run. I will report tomorrow morning how things go. The boat came with the props rotating inward which I may switch. Right now the shifters are set up opposite of what I have been used to for the past 7 years. Makes it a bit un-nerving around the dock. Sometime I will try them both ways and compare speed and handling but right now I just want better handling and have it shift (forward for forward) the way I'm used to.

JaayTeee 05-16-2003 11:30 AM

Highmark,
a friend of mine did some prop
rotation testing on a 99' 33 o/l
with 502's.
he gained about 2 MPH on the
4 blades, and about 1 MPH on
the 3 blades.
Either props, docking
maneuvarability sucks when
they turn in.

Thats pretty much what I've learned from searching past posts on this. It's my first boat with twins so I will probably go with them turning out until I get accustomed to the boat. Thanks for the info.

Took the new Outlaw for a 20 mile spin last night. All I can say is WOW!! Absolutely love the way those 496 HO's sound! (Without the silenced tips of course :D ) Took it easy but still managed a few full throttle bursts and could quickly reach 74+ on the speedo. :D Not too bad for 145+ galllons of fuel and 2 adults. Very pleased so far.
