Sea Strainer

Has anybody mounted a Sea Strainer in a 232, 252, or 272? I would like to see pics of where you mounted it. Just got mine today (Gil), and it's ALOT bigger than I thought. Guess I should have looked at those dimensions.....

Wow.......thanks, that looks nice. Only problem with me doin it how he did is my Sea Strainer has the ins and outs reversed. Looks like he just made some kinda bracket. I was thinking on the transom or maybe even mounted to the back of the rear seat, but I like how he did that. Thanks.!

I made a stainless bracket for the sea strainer to set just above the stringer. You can use 90 degree bends if you need too. That intake hose is so low it can actually go underneath the engine to the opposite side if you need it too. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Good point on going under the strainer to swap the hoses. Thanks again guys, I think that's how i'll do it. Looks great....

It just shocked me when I opened the box at how big it was, kinda sent me into a panic when I realized my first method wouldn't work.

How thick of stainless did you use for the bracket.?

3/16" Type 304. Then I used (4) 1/4" self drilling screws to attach it too the aluminum diamond plate.
