232 or HX2

Which boat....

I know the H2X looks alots meaner, with the windsreen. And the whole boat look is more performace lookings. But I love bolsters. Sitting down in a performance boat is not near as fun.

hmmm.... what do you guys think.

2003 boats H2X or 232 closed bow with a 496mag.

I would say 232 with the bolsters and the screen. There is a very nice one listed on www.dallasboats4sale.com. Click on the baja section. I belive that one has a 454 mag.

Depends of your needs... 232 : more deadrise angle = better rough ride. 23 vs 20

232 = H2X same weight.

H2X should go on plane faster = Best for skiing, wake-boarding...
Also top speed +1-2 mph cause of the haull
Small lake-water sports = H2X

Waves, ride comfort, cabin, seats = 232

Personaly, yes I like bolsters but the most important thing for me is to be able to dirve the boat on stand up position...

I must admit, H2X is a bit a greater looking design.

My 2 cents

BAJA BOSS 232 2000, 7.4 MPI 61.2 MPH GPS STOCK, planing lab finish and Flame arrestor

NEITHER!!

Spend the extra $$$ and get a 25 Outlaw!!

JS232 05-28-2003 12:35 PM

In some cases.... EXTRA EXTRA $$$ ;-)

I got a real deal for my 232 and for my using, it's not worth the money... 25 Outlaw = Much heavier boat (even heavier than a 275) so you need lots of engine... I would say 496 MAG HO Minimum. Depends on your needs...

Next step for me is a 28 + footer then I'l see a big difference.

Longer is always better. I love those 29 scarab with 502's my only complaint would be the 7.4' beam ! Rough riders!!!!!! And good deals around.

The H2X has a 21 degree deadrise not a 20...:) :)

Tought was 20 (maybe the hammer). Been told H2X was made from the Hammer concept. Tousands excuses H2X owners

Personally, if it was between the original two, I would go for the 232 for many of the reasons above. I really prefer bolsters!!!

232: 23' 4" 3900# 23* bottom
H2X: 24' 0.5" 3900# 21* bottom

Being the same weight and only 8" different, the 232 will have a noticibly better ride with the sharper deadrise.

I have both..

h2x tows better planes faster and has better top end....
no room and cuddy access is for children and not for anyone who has sore joints...it is 21 degree DR

23.2 has more room in cockpit and easy access to cuddy, handles rough water better.....

I personally like the 23.2 better overall with the windscreen..
