Not too good. Looks like I hit something, and it done a lot of damage to the outdrive, and prop. Looks like a new outdrive and re-worked prop. Probably in the $5000 range, good thing is the insurance is going to cover it.

Glad to hear the insurance has you covered.

Get Darin to do a real number on a prop for you, so you will be able to keep up with "Dock Holiday"!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D

I could not out run a guy in a Kayak without a paddle.

We tore the drive apart today. Pull off the top cap, and there was metal pieces on top of the bearing about the size of bb's. After pulling it rest of the way apart the vertical shaft has teeth missing. It's been my experience, that this is "NOT TO GOOD". I got a good price on a new Bravo One X drive. I will order it Monday, and send the prop off and hopefully I will get everything put back together by next weekend. I might have to use my old prop in the meantime, but at least I will be back in business.

Sonya got a kick out of the duck picture. That duck did not have a care in the world.

Sorry to here about your setback!! Do you think hitting something in the water caused all that internal damage?

Sorry Jeff to hear about your troubles. I'm pushing the 18 MPG while towing with my 272. I'm really getting 17.6 MPG while towing;)

Good news. Insurance paid for everything. Nationwide Insurance is the best as far as I'm concerned. Outdrive will be here Wednesday.

I got the outdrive, just now. The pieces are falling into place. It's looking good for the weekend. Hopefully we can get everything back together tonight, depending on wether it rains or not.

Darin says the prop will be back on Friday, so that will finish us up.
He said that he was going to make it faaaaast also.

Jeff,Glad for you !!!! all is going well. OH your prop ,I have said this before ,IT'S with the man in Brown and shipped out today ,you PAID BIG$$$$$$$ to have it there( Friday) and my part is done /good luck!!!

I got the outdrive on last night and it is smooth. Everything went together like a charm. I will get the prop in tomorrow and go for a water test.

Darin thanks for the speedy service. No one better than Houston Propeller. I will let you no how everything works out with the prop.

I went for the water test Friday. Everything was great, no problems. Darin, I ran out of time and I did not get to try the new prop, but I did put it on tonight and hopefully I will have time after work this week to try it. I guess I paid that extra shipping for nothing. After today I have about 3 hours on the new drive and everything seems to be working great.

sound's like you are taking it easy on the drive until you get a few hours on it.You must be running the 23 pitch where it does not have the load like the 25 pitch would/good luck! glad you had a successful weekend.
