Carpet snaps

One of the Snaps on by snap-in carpet came apart over the weekend. The rug is not ripped or damaged in any way, the snap just came apart.

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement snap kit?

Craft stores sell the snaps and the crimpers. Just make sure you get snaps that are deep enough to go thru the carpet since it's pretty thick. Some snaps are not deep enough to go thru carpet. All the snaps sold by boat places like Boater's world are thick enough but since the ones they sell are "marine rated" they cost 3 times as much as the ones sold at craft stores.

Got a snap replacement kid from Home Depot for $4. Came with ten complete snaps and device that looks like a bunch set just strike it with a hammer and done. It took me longer to remove the cover on the boat than it took to replace snap.

Thanks for the help.

If not marine grade, at least make sure they are some sort of corrosion-resistant material. Rust stains in your carpet and floor could be a disaster.
