Where? Is it new or used? Wait, I would have to get a new truck then. Good price though.
Luv N It
I boat mainly in inland waters and don't overnight much although AC would be great. I just want something a little bigger with twins. My tow vehicle is 4 wheel drive Dodge 1/2 ton with 360. I think it will tow any of these fine. I have also thought of the maintenance and the gas consumption. 6.2s would be better on gas.
Thanks, Keep em comin!

I agree w/Daze. The new 30' will be the hottest thing out IMO.
I would also think about interest rates too. Starting to go up. Not trying to rush ya, but w/the cabbage you are going to spend, 1/2% hear or there can make a difference.
IMO if you are going to enjoy life go for the gusto every chance. 02 33' Outlaw w/HO's and a new Dodge Cummins

Not trying to stir up the pot, but have you actually verified the 292's speed while in the boat? I've ridden in one with the same combo at LOTO and it only ran 66. That's a BIG difference.........!
sweet boat tho.......build quality was outstanding..!

Luv N It,
Formula is running 0% interest for 2 yrs then 4.75% for the remainder of the loan. I like your thinking on the new truck and new boat, but a little to big of a jump for me.
Madmax,
72 Mph is what salesman told me. I will drive the boat and see for myself. Was that 66 on GPS or speedo?

I'd be carfull towing any of the boats you mention with a 1/2 ton. I was in the same dilema and just baught a '98 outlaw 29 with twin 502 mags. No way could my Suburban tow that for any distance without loosing the trany. I bought a beater Ford F350 dually to tow it and it works great. Cheap insurance, the wy i figure it.
Good luck

for 1 1/2 seasons I towed my 29 Outlaw with a Dodge 1/2 ton with 5.9. I thought it did fine. However, when I ordered the truck, I had it come with "heavy duty" package (aux tranny cooler, extra cooling, etc).

IMO you will be fine using your truck towing the above boats, you can "almost tow anything w/any truck" however, the real safety thing w/towing is STOPPING.
I like the Formula too. What are the options on the boat? Any link to pics? I would bet you can find a great killer deal on a 29 when the 30 comes out!

Personally, I don’t think it will be the case for a couple of reasons:
1) I think it’s going to be a long time before dealers are “giving away” any 30’s. This will ensure a sizeable price gap between 29’s and 30’s. This will help hold the price of 29’s as-is.
2) I never saw the price of 24’s affected by the introduction of the 25.
Regardless, good deals can always be had on any model if it’s a 1-year-old leftover. That has more to do with the fact that it’s a leftover not much to do with the model.
My take of the 30 is this:
Assume they have 30’s available for the 2004 boating season. First of all, those early 30’s may have bugs that might not be worked out until the 2005 model year. Secondly, I doubt the dealers will be “giving away” any 2004 30 O/L’s. So it’s now 2005 before a guy can get a good deal on a “bug-free” 30. This means guys who now have 24’s and 25’s are sitting there with 4 foot itch and have to wait 2 years to scratch the itch. Why should he wait 2 years to scratch the itch? Those guys can go out today, get a deal on a 29, and scratch the inch tomorrow. Then in 2-3 years when he might have otherwise bought his 30, he’ll be ready to move right up to a 36 and pass right by the 30.
