No more free boat sites
 

I just noticed the 3 boat sites that I know of ,that arenent magazines, all charge for something. I guess they realized that this stuff really cost money to keep running and make enjoyable,but is the best entertainment I have had other than boats and 2 other things, That both cost money too, nothing fun is free

Not many people realize that !!! Most complain !!!

Ive noticed the only ones that are complaining are the ones that havent even paid anything. Let them start their own site up and see how long they last or how big they get. Sure, FREE would be nice, but lets be realistic here.

Yep, it's true: Bandwidth costs money. Too bad this concept is foreign to some...

It's funny to see those who have complained in the past about it, move on and create their own 'free' ventures, and then realize that they must do the same: Charge.

Funny how I mentioned that along time ago and people jumped down my through saying "so and so" is the best and will always keep it free. I'll just say the same comment I've always used. Nothing is free!

TB, You end up paying up for 'em one way or another.

The bandwith does cost money, but for me the biggest cost is time. It takes...SO MUCH TIME to get a site going and keep it moving correctly. It is just like any other business, and a business it is. Time=money=time. Afterall, why should it be free?

Our site will remain free for as long a possible, but at some point we will probably have to charge a minimal fee for membership, it is the only practical option to keep a message board operating. If you look at some of my posts on our site, you will see 1 am or something as the posting time...it is that sort of thing that keeps it moving. Haven't pulled a ton of late nighters lately though, but many more to come I'm sure.
