Weight on 272 Shooter???

Do any of you guys know the actual dry weight of a ‘94 - 272 Shooter with 454? My brother owned this particular boat and he’s telling me it weighed 4200lbs. I find that hard to believe considering my Outlaw weighed in at nearly 4900lbs. Any help would be appreciated.

And better in the rough.

My Outlaw ran 3 MPHs faster than his Shooter on GPS with the same motor package and prop. So I would have to disagree with that.

Thanks for the info though.

Exactly, I traded in a 97 272 502mag for my Outlaw. My 272 ran 64mph and chine walked. My outlaw ran 67 out of the box and feels totaly stable at 75+. I would not hesitate to run 80+ in my Outlaw. The 272 was a great boat but the Outlaw is better. Just my opinion.

Oh yeah, back to the topic. I think my 272 weighed 4400lbs. It is really a 25 ft boat with a molded in swim platform. The 25 Outlaw is measured w/o the swim plat.

I did have one out run me once, but it had a BDS 871 Blower Strapped on top of his big block cranking out 9lbs of boost...

:D:D:D

Miamiboats--

The 272 has the same 24 degree hull as the outlaw does and the extra length will help it in the rough.

If a 272 is dialed in it can be pretty fast.

Sorry, but 272's are scary in the rough. At least the ones I've been in at 60+...I would much rather be in my Outlaw on a windy day.:D

Where can you find the specs on older boats like this. Weight, Deadrise, etc...?

According to the book, it weighs 4250# with a 454-300.
