2001 25 Outlaw. Procharged 496HO. 3.5lbs boost. Runs 75+ on GPS. Labbed 27P mirage+ prop.

Shouldn't this run a bit faster?

I think that sounds about right. Not sure where that puts that 496 in HP but my guess would be around 550 or so.

I replied in the Tech forum, Procharger claims 580, I think it is about 550 at the prop.

Compared to what? Whats a 27/29 Fountain run with a 496HO. 69-70. Wow, 3mph. I think it does pretty well for the price. Like I said, it could use some more prop tweaking. Probably another 2Mph left in it with this set up. Not the fastest, but there is always someone faster.

It's not the fastest hull out there, but 75-77 is about right for that set-up. It's a fairly heavy 25'er at 4750 pounds.

I suspect more can be gained with more prop work. With the right prop, it should go about 69 with a stock 496 HO. With 3.5# boost it's probably making about 525 realistic HP at the prop.
