Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
1 Attachment(s)
I am thinking of trading my 29 OL for a 232, or 252 ISL. My plan is to get a 30-32ft express cruiser for Catalina Island and a smaller open bow for Havasu/Mead.
My boat is a 2000 29 Outlaw with twin 454 mags, 95hrs, SST, K planes, Gaffrig Monster Gauges, hydraulic steering, cockpit and full mooring cover, transom shower, 2 amps, 12" sub, 2 6x9's, 4 6.5's, triple axle trailer w/spare, trailer brake flush, porta potti, fresh water engine flush, 1 year old custom full SS bimini no straps with custom quick release fittings, new tires for trailer, serviced and ready, etc... |

Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
how much for the 29ol if you were to sell?
|
Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
MikeJill, I will send a few your way. I need to go to storage and take the cover off to get some interior shots. Post some pics and details please if your intrested.
pwam1, I kind of want an open bow for more room on day trips. I had a 25 OL and liked it though. Send or post pics and details, you never know. mobilecal, If I sold it outright probably around $63,900. |

What will the 29 run with 454Mags on GPS?
I have a 02 252 islander with custom motor bravo 1 drive that I'm still dialing in. Putting exhaust on in the next couple of weeks. Should be around 70+ when all done. 8 speaker,2 subs,2 remotes, 2 amps, 1 eq, 3 batts, blue trailer, drive shower. |
Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
Best I have ever seen with a light load is 73.8 gps. Usually normal loads 4 people 1/2 tank = 72. You can run 70 with a full tank (150 gal) and 4 people.
Your boat is very nice, that might be perfect. I bet Darrin could work the props and eek some more out of mine. The biggest difference you would notice is how much more often you can go fast in rougher water. Any interior shots? Carl |
Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
No I don't have any interior shots at this time. I don't even have a digital camera yet. I need to get one. Could borrow my buddies. Right now I'm seeing 66 MPH with a Bravo 1 24P 4 blade at 5200 rpms without exhaust. So all the head work I had done to the 502 really isn't up to it's full potential and running a 4 blade doesn't help. Once I get exhaust and prop worked out should be at 70 or better. Only thing left after getting that sqaured away is trim tabs.
Are you running in salt or fresh water? |
Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
75% fresh 25% salt. The boat is always washed and flushed after every outing, trailer too.

Re: Anyone looking to trade up to a 29 Outlaw?
Well after working like a dog the last 2 weeks and finally getting some time with my wife, we deicided to wait until next year to do anything. I want to see what new models are on the way with the hopes that some builder will make that perfect do all boat for us. To all who spent the time to express interest, thank you! You all are such good people. Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the season without stressing over such a tough decision.
Thanks all, Carl |
