Used 30 Outlaw?
 

What should one expect to pay for a used 2004 30 Outlaw that has 496 HOs with 30 to 50 hrs on it? Not sure what options it has in the cuddy. If I was guessing it is pretty bare. SST pak as well.

All kidding aside, you should pay no more than $101,000 for a 2004 30 Outlaw with HO’s. Here’s why I think that:

My boat’s a 2001 and has HO’s. If someone wanted to buy it today I would sell it for $73,000. Bajas in the 29-30’ range loose value at a rate of about $6,000 per model year. His boat is 3 years newer than mine (3 x $6,000 = $18,000). That would make his boat worth (in my opinion ) $91,000. I then tossed in an extra $10,000 due to the fact that his boat is a 30 Outlaw and mine is a 29 Outlaw. So, $91,000 + $10,000 = $101,000.

Based on my scale, if you have to pay much more than $101,000 for his, then you’d be better off buying mine for $73,000. Make sense??

The new 30 outlaws 2004-05 are way hyped and kinda over priced so the first year or two people are going to pay alot more for them which means these boats will take a lot bigger hit on resale because they paid so much for the "latest and greatest model" I think the 30ol is overpriced and I have friends in the industry and sales managers at baja dealers who seem to think the same..

I'd hate to be one of the first ones to buy a new 30 off a dealer's lot...they're going to be in a world of hurt trying to selling it in a few years. I can't believe what dealers want for them! :eek:

I'd much rather get a 33 for only a little more.

Those prices are MSRP.
That ad was from Fox Chapel Marine who can only advertise MSRP per Baja. It's also a custom Level I graphics as well.
So its no different than looking at an ad for a 25 OL priced at $87k. Then you do your dealing from there.

Are they high priced? Yeah they are. But if you think the base prices are coming down after a couple years, you've been on weed too long.

It's all about what you want. Older vs. newer. If you don't mind not having the latest and greatest, then the 29 is great. If you want a full galley, shorepower, pumpout enclosed head, etc, you won't find them in a 29 OL.

Nothing wrong with a 29 OL. I like em a ton. I just liked the 30 a lot more. After all the whole Baja Outlaw lineup is going to be designed like the 40, 30 and 23 are.

Hawkeye in IA had a new 04 SSE w/HO's that they special ordered last year. They wanted $129k, but MSRP was much higher. I'm not sure what it was sold for.

OK people listen to what saleen is saying, the 185 is the msrp, the boat is not really priced there. I have worked with Fox Chapel Marine out of Port Clinton and there prices are not what the msrp is -----not even close.

This is not a guy trying to sell it is a dealership.

What ever people want is okay with me, the msrp is way high which means you still gonna get waxed in the end. For me In a 28-33 foot day sportboat with twins or single i dont want or need a galley, shore power, microwave? Hell I barley use the cuddy in my 29ol which has plenty of sitting space and headroom. The 30ol is a nice boat but for me one more foot of boat that did not look,ride or go any faster would have been a fat waste of 35K...:)

Anyway - in terms of speed my best ever GPS was 79.6mph with the speedo reading 81mph. That was early this year with outside temp about 65, I was by myself, with a full tank of gas, and fresh engine oil. My props are 27" 3 blade Mirage Plus. Day-to-day speed in the middle of the summer is 76mph+ GPS with no difficulty.

Here are some pics of the boat for sale. Still not clear what is in the cabin. It does have 50hrs on it. I got the email yesterday and there was no price so I emailed him back for it. I will let you know when I get it. This should be interesting. I found a new one with 496 Mags and nothing in the cabin for $115,000.

Here is a 30 ol from fox chapel for under 120K. You will have to call or go see it to get the final price but I have seen the boat and it is awsome. IT is the prototype boat and is built like a brick sh!thouse.

The cabin is different from all of the other one also I can't really explain it but I think it is really cool.
