32' caliber, best prop to use?

I just bought a 1995 caliber, could someone please give me advise on the best prop to use. It came with a 25 pitch mirage, how does this boat like 4 blade bravo 1 props? I had a hydromotive on my last boat a 92' 290. I use the boat on Lake Michigan only. I am looking for a good cruising prop more than top end. Please give me your opinions and what you currently are using. The engines are 454 EFI, 385 hp. thanks, Jim

Your set up is exactly like mine before I made upgrades. I liked the 25 Mirages (not plus) with this HP. Blowout was minimal out of the hole and in turns. Hydromotives did not give the intented results as it has too much stern lift.

If anything you may want to have your mirages cupped some more. I found this does help "bite" out of the hole etc.

You'll love this boat on the great lakes. MPI's have unmatched reliability.

Most opinions so far i have got was to go with bravo 1's. I guess I will have to spend the cash and try those out. Thanks for the opinions!

I sent you an e-mail but you may want to try your mirages for a summer. I had mine labbed and cupped not thinned for about $150 each at:

Airmarine
5638 S Central Ave
Chicago, IL 60638
(773) 582-0100

They actually will give you a computer printout of the touch points as well.

Bajalion, thanks for the info, I did not know of any place around Milwaukee that I could get my props labbed, I think I "will" take your advise and get my mirages cupped and labbed.

Don't touch that set up until you can verify speed. If for real you have a great 32...don't touch it

I had the same boat with the same power i put on a set of hydro's 24 pitch 4 blade
and turned the props in the boat rides great and top speed was 72mph THE x is
real low in that year so you need a stern lifting prop.bravo's didn't do it for me
it was real rough in the big chop!!!!!!!! and if you use 3 blades you will loose
you'r mid range IF YOU NEED PROP WORK CALL JULIE AT TROTTLE-UP
THEY DO GREAT WORK I CAN'T SAY THAT ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!
