Baja Recall

Through recent inspections, Baja Marine Corporation has discovered that over-current protection has not been installed as required in a limited number of vessels.Due to this manufacturing noncompliance, Baja Marine Corp has initiated a voluntary US Coast Guard recall to correct this issue.

My boat falls under this recall it is a 95 38 special. Has anyone else gotten this letter.

"Over-current"???
Do you mean something of a surge protector or fuse, in case of shorts? Doesn't sound like too much...Do you have any info on the possible time span this affects?

I also have a 38 Special. Any idea what years are involved and what has to be replaced?

How will they notify owners?

What years and models are effected?

yes, i received the same letter for my '00 33 Outlaw. it is in regards to an "inline" breaker/fuse for the battery charger, according to the service manager. i don't know all of the details yet. my boat goes in this week to have it taken care of. as soon as i get more details, i'll post them. i'll try to obtain a copy of the service bulletin from the shop.
